About Stephanie
Stephanie Hibbard, LCSW-C has been helping clients expand their lives with psychotherapy since 2006. She created SPARK Wellness as a space for her to focus on connecting with and helping teens & adults who are looking to find their true potential and lead the life that they envision. As a therapist, Stephanie utilizes a combination of approaches including EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, somatic and hypno-informed work to reach the deeper levels of what holds people back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
As a coach, Stephanie uses her passion for self-help and humor to help clients identify specific forward thinking to achieve goals. Coaching is centered on gaining specific skills or motivation versus the deeper dive of EMDR or other therapeutic modalities. Coaching can be an adjunct to therapy or a stand alone modality focused on addressing challenges not associated with a mental health diagnosis.
Stephanie believes that individuals can find and achieve a life worth living even in the most difficult of circumstances. One of her favorite quotes is "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters." - Epictetus. Easier said than done - especially in the face of financial stress, medical issues, marriage discord, parenting stress, and lost sense of purpose, not to mention political climate, environmental climate, and technology/generational changes. Years of working with people fighting to find their way has strengthened Stephanie's belief in Epictetus' quote and the potential that lies within.
Stephanie obtained her Master's degree at New York University’s School of Social Work. Her undergraduate degree is from Towson University.
